Feedback gevenThe menu is extensive, featuring a variety of dishes and plenty of drink options. We particularly enjoyed the wine selection recommended by our server. For our starters, we ordered mussels and scallops, both of which were excellent. The scallops, in particular, were outstanding, and I loved the accompanying sauce. For our main courses, we had the calf's liver and branzino. I absolutely loved the branzino; it was cooked to perfection. The calf's liver came with five pieces and caramelized onions, which felt like quite a lot to take in one meal. I would have preferred fewer onions, but the liver itself was well-cooked and flavorful. Although we didn’t order dessert, we noticed that many other diners were enjoying soufflés, which seemed to be the restaurant's specialty, along with seasonal variations. Our server was quite busy, which made for a bit of a wait for our check, but overall, we had a wonderful dinner. We’re really glad to have discovered this fantastic French restaurant so close to home.
The food, service, and atmosphere are all outstanding. If you're in Bergen County and craving delicious French cuisine, this is the place to be. Each flavor stands out on its own, yet the combination of tastes brings the dish to life. For appetizers, we ordered mussels, escargots sautéed in garlic herb butter, and foie gras served with sherry over a confit of onions and dried fruits in port wine. For our main courses, we enjoyed filet mignon with onion rings in a cognac sauce, beef bourguignon cooked in burgundy wine with mushrooms, bacon, and onions served over potatoes, and capellini ratatouille. Everything was absolutely incredible. I highly recommend ordering the Grand Marnier soufflé as soon as you arrive. We also tried the chocolate soufflé and the bakery's offerings, both of which were fantastic. Thank you to Francois for the wonderful hospitality. We can’t wait to return!
To start, be sure to order the chocolate buffer bakery at the beginning of your meal so it's ready for dessert. The escargot was fantastic, and the duck à l'orange was equally superb! It’s such a delightful place to dine, especially with the artistic ambiance on the terrace. Make sure to add Madeleine to your list for dinner!
Amazing food! Great service! We went for a private party and it was exceptional
I was eyeing this place for quite some time and I'm glad we finally tried it a couple of weeks ago. A very homey place but the food is of high quality. We got escargot, pork medallions, rack of lamb and chocolate souffle. Also, the cocktails are worth it. We'll definitely come back to taste the rest of the menu.
