They start feeling hungry and as they do they stumble across an idyllic hotel with scenic views and a decent wine list. They relax, they order, they enjoy. Now, be part of your own story at the Scenic Hotel.
A Nice City Escape. We dined on a Saturday night, and it looked looked like a full house. We decided on a Duck Pie and Black Bean Polenta (One of several vegetarian choices gluten free) which were both great and arrived in good time. An interesting selection of wine both glass and bottle. (tried an Adelaide Hills Black Bishop Sauvignon Blanc followed with the same in a Barossa Shiraz, both very enjoyable). She who must be obeyed loved the home-made cherry pie with vanilla creme anglaise. Service was friendly without being pushy, overall a very nice evening.
Great food and service!. I took my girlfriend here for lunch and we both really enjoyed our meals! So did the 3 or so European wasps hovering over our plates the entire time, but can't blame anyone for that! The servings were ample and good quality homestyle cooking! We usually just take prompt and friendly service for granted but found the waitress here to go the extra mile and was extremely friendly! One negative is that the interior and decor are well over due for an upgrade.
Nice Lunch. We had a nice and relaxing lunch there on Sunday. Nice little view from the balcony and we enjoyed the food and service. The new menu: Roast Chicken was quite tasty and came with piled baked potato was great dish! And my partner ate something like a deep friend cous cous? with beans mushroom. Both tasted very nice and the staff was very friendly. We will go back there again!
Friendly and relaxing. Great setting just up the road from the city. Feels like a different world up there.<br/ <br/ Had open porterhouse sandwich followed by homemade sticky date pudding. can happily recommend both. also brew boys maiden ale on tap! never seen that anywhere else before.<br/ <br/ cheers
