El Peron - Norwalk

We were quite impressed with the food, service, and music. This restaurant has an extensive food and drink menu. There were 6 people in our party ages 8-80, and everyone enjoyed the meal. I highly recommend El Patron. On a side note, I appreciate the honesty and integrity of the staff. I left my purse and upon realizing it 2 hours later, I returned and was relieved to see my purse had been placed in a secure area.

Pretty good Mexican food. The tacos are really good and it has a nice family feel to the restaurant.

I’ve been coming here for a couple of years. I really like their chilaquiles with steak and their enchiladas. Their tacos have much to be desired I had the carnitas and steak tacos and the meat seasoning/taste/smell is not good, and there isn’t enough meat for the size of the tortilla, not a good meat to tortilla ratio, I recommend they switch to smaller taco tortillas if they don’t want to give you more meat. But the reason for the 1 star is their inflexibility to accommodate the customers. The chilaquiles come with beans and no rice. I wanted them to add a spoonful or less of rice, they said no because it doesn’t come with rice, I would need to buy a side of rice. But I didn’t want a whole side of rice, it would be too much, I just wanted a little bit to complete the meal. I told them it wouldn’t really cost them anything to add it, and they agreed that it wasn’t the price the real reason and that’s just how it’s served there, and asked me “do you want it or not”. Why not make your customers happy when it wouldn’t cost you anything other than changing “procedure”? So I told them no thank you. Them chilaquiles will be missed! ?

Delicious! Visited with a friend who knows authentic Mexican food. The Shrimp with garlic sauce was awesome. The owner was so friendly. Highly recommend trying it.
