Billy Wilson Aging Still - Norwich

I have been here three times and had this dragon bowl twice. One of the best meals I've ever had. Crispy honey garlic chicken with creamed corn, cheddar cheese and mashed potatoes. SO GOOD. It's a similar mix to the KFC famous bowl but this is so so much better.

Stopped in for food and drink a couple times. First thing we noticed when we walked in was a strong musty smell the second you walked in. It was really bad and almost caused us to walk out but we gave it a try. Bartenders each time were great. Good collection of local CT brews on tap. The food was alright. I had the chicken tenders and my wife had the Reuben. Reuben was good. But my chicken was very dry. I was hoping they'd have some good Irish whiskey on hand being an Irish pub but they have just the basics. Was a little bummed out. The place is huge and cool.

Staff is still friendly and fun and the food is amazing! I love the music that they play and the atmosphere is very relaxed.

The only positive thing I can say about my visit to this restaurant is the atmosphere and the drinks. The service was awful. We sat at a table in the bar area and ordered the dry rub garlic parmesan wings and the steak bruschetta. It took over an hour for our food to arrive and it wasn't excessively busy. Other than take our drink and food order our waitress never checked in on us because she was more interested in doing silverware than serving us. The manager delivered our food which was cold and we had to go up to the bar and ask the bartender for the check because our waitress didn't bother to bring it to us. Sadly I will be reluctant to visit here again. However if I were to try it again I will eat in the restaurant and not the bar.

My boyfriend and I visit this place frequently since he lives in Norwich. There's not much to choose from in that town, but out of all the restaurants, this is definitely my top pick. While I'm not a fan of the drinks, the sliders and kettle chips are absolutely delicious! This little hole-in-the-wall is a must-try if you're in the area.
