Magro's - Norwich

I visited New York for a brief business trip and stopped by this restaurant with my husband. The atmosphere and customer service were fantastic, and the pizza was amazing!

The food here is outstanding. While the decor is simple, the quality of the dishes is superb. I highly recommend trying the sausage sandwich and the manicotti alfredo. The manicotti was a special for the night, and if it's available when you visit, you won't be disappointed. It comes topped with cooked cherry tomatoes and steamed spinach. Another special of the evening was shrimp pesto, which also sounded delightful.

Magros is a hidden gem located in central New York. Tucked away from Norwich's main street, it can be a bit tricky to find unless you know where to look. For those of us accustomed to New York City pizza, trying pizza elsewhere can be a gamble—but not at Magros. Their pizza is excellent, with a crust that tastes just like home. While they don't offer Sicilian-style pies, their regular pizzas are simply amazing. The staff are also delightful. As for accessibility, there is a wheelchair ramp at the side entrance.

I come to both locations often but this is twice now I have ordered from the one in Norwich, well ahead of time (at least a half hour) to get there and they say, oh we didn't see the order so it hasn't been started. There is a reason I call ahead of time... like I have to be somewhere that's why I ask for it to be done at a specific time. Not to mention for the inconvenience of me eaiting an extra amount of time i shouldnt have to they never off a discount for the wait or anything for that matter. This is unacceptable.

The food was delicious, the restaurant was clean and the servers were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be stopping here frequently
