Castle Carvery Racecourse - Norwich

Though accidents can happen, we felt that this could have been prevented if the outdoor surfaces were safe. Furthermore, when we asked for first aid assistance and an ice pack, a staff member took a long time to bring cubes of ice wrapped in blue paper. This makeshift ice pack was not suitable for a young child's injury, and we were shocked by the inadequate first aid procedure at the restaurant. We decided to leave and use a proper first aid kit from one of our cars. We were disappointed by the lack of proper safety measures at the restaurant, especially considering that it caters to children and families with indoor and outdoor play areas.

THE WAY THE MALE MANAGER SPEAKS TO HIS YOUNG STAFF IS DISGUSTING!!!! just had a meal here although the food was nice I was disgusted at the attitude of the boss and the way he was speaking to the young girls! Talk about slave labour… hire a load of 17/18 year old who are paid peanuts and speak to them like ****! You should be disgusted with yourself. Caitlin (one of the girls also being spoken to like ****) was lovely and polite and doing her best to get her job done! But I hope she realises at such a young age that’s now how an employer should speak to a staff member. No wonder the place is staffed with young kids as no adult would take that

Had a carvery there which was really OK great carvery for the price. Staff make you feel welcome from the time you walk in the front door.

Doing laps of the city for 30 mins on a Sunday 330pm starving hungry thinking who does a carvery ! Ahh perfect for the kids with the play area ! .its been 20 years since I had been here ! So why not ….. literally paid soon as I got in the door 2 adult Carvery’s 2 kids with deserts and 2 alcoholic drinks Just short of £70 .00 Ended up cleaning my own table and getting my own cutlery, not a problem as busy ! Once feeding the homeless had sat down I made my way to the carvery section , got given a plate not much bigger than a side plate and went for a Slice of beef , yeah me and the chef clocked eyes as I was expecting him to carve another slice ! Roast potatoes bowl was empty , bar 6 giant spuds that looked like jacket potatoes ! would take the plate up Few vegetables to chose from , no stuffing ! No sausages or anything. The usual watered down horseradish , I made my way to the table seemed I had more roast potatoes stuck to my shoes than on my plate . I was the only one to eat as starving hungry and could wash it down with a beer while holding my nose . That’s the problem with these pay first places , they know it’s cr&p ! So get your money upfront . Never again not even in another 20 years .

Terrible food. Tasteless and bland. Appearance of the food was good, however this wasn't matched by the flavour. Service was also truly awful.
