Mr Postles Apothecary - Norwich

Lewis was absolutely fantastic, so accomodating to our needs and very lovely and approachable, would 100% recommend Mr Apostles for Lewis' service alone, please do visit and also Mr A, give the man a raise!

We had a table booked for 6 people at 6pm and had the table until 7:30pm. We arrived on time and told to wait 10 minutes while they cleaned our table. We were then seated, one of our friends were late to turning up so we asked if we could order food in a little bit as they weren’t going to be there for another 10 minutes. We were told this was fine and then 5 minutes later we asked to order food because they haven’t got time to wait. Throughout the meal the waitress seemed to continuously inform us ever 20 minutes that she needed the table back by half 7. This is one of the many reasons our experience was terrible. At 7:10pm she came over again and told us she now need the table back soon. At 7:20pm she came over demanding the table back because they had other people coming at 7:30 so needed to clean and lay the table. We advised her that we have this table until 7:30 and we were also 10 minutes late to our table. She then began to shout at us to leave and that is was not her problem. At this point the security guard came over to us and was very apologetic and dealt with the issue in a good manner. He said that due to there booking system it doesn’t allow time for them to prepare tables so they rely on people leaving earlier. If the waitress had said this is a polite manner and apologised it would have been fine but she decided to shout and make the experience horrible. The whole experience made everyone feel very anxious as all members of staff seemed rushed as soon as someone had finished eaten the staff rushed to clear the plate before everyone around the table had finished and this was the same for drinks. Very poor customer service especially from the waitress who seemed to have zero care for customers. This also happened to another table near us.

Sunday lunch. Fantastic from the moment we arrived. Friendly, welcoming staff who looked after us really well. Really nice atmosphere. Our young daughter enjoyed it too and was super happy with her balloon!! The roast was AMAZING. A bold statement, but I’d say it’s the best in the city. We will definitely be back.

Early Saturday evening, so it was still quiet but a good place to start our cocktail evening. Everyone enjoyed their choice of cocktail, and my daughter ordered snacks and she enjoyed those.

Food was lovely and service was perfect. Drinks were amazing I have heard good things of Mr postles and came here previously. Service was very good.Although, a chap at the bar not knowing on what white wine he was serving and thus over charged me. which he rectified once I had mentioned. I’m sure this is a simple mistake but something to look out for. Overall. a perfect experience and definitely recommend. Well done. I am a waitress at a 4* hotel, so know the pressures.
