Pret A Manger - Norwich

I ordered a latte and was waiting in line for my coffee. While waiting, a man was serving hot drinks one by one to each customer without asking what they had ordered, assuming everyone knew based on the order of arrival. When it was my turn, he said "Latteee" and when I went to take my coffee, he pulled it back and asked me dismissively what I had ordered. I found this strange, especially since he hadn't asked the question to customers before me or even those after me. He eventually handed me my coffee, but I felt unfairly treated because of my race. I did not feel welcomed at Pret à Manger. They need to be careful when hiring staff and ensure they treat all customers with respect and dignity. If this man was only expecting to serve white customers, he does not belong there. Thank you.

Lots of clean tables and fridge well stocked but this restaurant let down by rude and unhelpful staff

Popped in here while my daughter was shopping. Am so disappointed that they have stopped my avocado salad wrap. There is nothing in there for me to buy now to eat, so I had a cappuccino instead.

The tables are consistently dirty and need to be asked to be cleaned. The toilets have become dirtier since the pregnant manageress left. Despite these issues, I enjoy the food as I am a picky eater. However, it is rare to see a table being cleaned and some of the staff seem unhappy.

Good filling food, where we are squashed in with other diners but it’s quick and easy. I had a chicken salad with vinaigrette sauce, ginger beer from a can and mango slices to follow. It’s not gourmet but it’s Pret A Manger! Could do with...more space between tables, so you don’t have to move around to make way for other people to get a drink or use the facilities. Love the simplicity but maybe less is more.
