I ate the remains and it was delicious, the flesh melted in her mouth and beautiful baked. I had the chowder that was full of different seafood, among them also really succulent mushles. I was thrown by the tomato base, I had only chowder with a white/ cheese basic before. but very nice for all this. I also had the creamy mushrooms on crostini. the mushrooms were beautiful, but unfortunately the crostini was only some pieces of French rod that had just shown a grill. more disappointment. I would have expected that round of French stick, then roasted to give a sizzling look. as it was, looking very bland and tasting. but otherwise, great location, hearty eating and would visit again.
Situated on the river Yare, it’s a lovely place to sit outside and watch the boats. We ordered the sharing fish platter which was the best we’ve had. The seven different types of fish were well cooked and plentiful, the salad looked and tasted great. We will definitely be visiting again. The staff were very friendly.
They got my order wrong which meant I was 5 minutes behind my wife when it came to eating, Burger lacked taste, however the bacon and cheese made it edible. The chips were crispy and not fluffy in the middle. Wife had lasagne which was light on the meat side and same issue with chips. Bottles of coke were shop bought plastic bottles.
A place we have visited a few times before covid. Excellent service with piping hot Sunday Roast. It's 100 mile each way for us too so that tells you it's excellent.
Service was great seen to straight away , food was all cooked fresh and nice size portions. We had 4 different meals Roast, burger, fish &chips and Veg moussaka, of of which were really nice. Couldn’t fault anything. ????????????????
