The food comes out quickly but in terms of taste/ flavour it’s very average. I had the thai green curry which was described as ‘hot’ in terms of spice level, but it really wasn’t and was actually quite bland. ‘Thai style chips’ were also not what I had expected, they were just some chips with what could be compared to peri salt sprinkled on top. The service was fine and the restaurant itself was nice and clean. Just the food that is a bit underwhelming.
Really central and a lovely independent restaurant with authentic Thai dishes, beautifully cooked and presented. Venture beyond all the chains, you will not regret it.
I recently dined at this restaurant with friends for the first time before a show. The dining room was nice, the service was efficient and friendly, and the food was excellent.
Went for lunch and were the first to be seated. Around 10 minutes later other diners came, communicating in their first language with staff. We were sat waiting to order, no one came back. A young man came to ask if we wanted drinks, we said no and wanted to order food. He just left and didn't take our order as it wasn't his job. Sat there watching staff standing at the juice bar. Then the two diners who arrived after 10 minutes after is were served their food. All still while our order wasn't taken. We were contemplating leaving. A lady sent food back and new food was prepared before our order was even taken. The second time I've been to paste and I felt discriminated against on this occasion. People of the same nationality were served first. One diner finished their meal and we hadn't even had our order. I won't be going back. Shame the foods nice. Cheeky they included a tip on the bill, when we had extremely poor and bad service.
I took my family, who were visiting from Birmingham, to one of our favorite restaurants in Nottingham City. We can honestly say that we have never had any issues with the food or service. The staff are always friendly and the food is very authentic. In my opinion, the cuisine leans more towards Vietnamese than Thai. I highly recommend this restaurant if you find yourself in the center of Nottingham.
