I often visit shakeaway lakeside as I like the shakes. They are rather expensive for what they are but I accept that as it’s not something we do all the time. I decided to take my eldest daughter shopping after work on a Wednesday evening and the shops are open until 10pm. At 9:45pm we made our way to shakes away after leaving Debenhams which is a 2 min walk max. We waited at the shakeaway counter whilst some customers were having their milkshakes prepared. We waited patiently for about 5 mins, staff could see we were waiting. Then a lady comes out and says sorry we are closed, tills are off. Well lady you o my just switched them off after you saw us waiting and it’s only 10 mins to 10 so you are still open. You could tell it’s not her business!! Poor services, high prices and substandard icecream and milk. Stay away people this is not a good shakeaway!!!
20 mins to wait for 3 frozen yogurts is unacceptable, store wasn't busy. When we got them, fruit for some maddening reason was stirred into the froyo meaning the whole thing turned to soup. Ridiculously expensively priced to top it all. Avoid.
Love all the options, my shake was super yummy! Reasonable pricing, nice service, reasonable wait time, and great ice cream. Was so happy to see froyo and reduced sugar ice creams on the menu!
All three of us had a different flavour milkshake and we were all very happy. Yes it was pricey, but please remember that 1) you get what you pay for, and 2) they have premises to pay for, bills and employees wages too. And it’s not like you’d be having one every day! It’s a nice little treat and kids love it (as well as me).
