Restaurant very recommended. Staff are professional, attentive and helpful. The dishes are delicious.
The Lonely Plant guide recommended this place so we decided to try it one lunchtime. The menu choice was very limited and for us Australians everything was expensive. The staff were helpful and served us a complimentary fishy dip with toast after we had ordered which was nice. The food presentation was very good and it did taste nice but value for money no.The mains were served with a basket of bread. The fresh fruit smoothies were refreshing. Would we go back no. Smokers were sitting right beside us on the verandah the regulations don't seem to be enforced anywhere. 2 smoothies, one main, one entree, free bread AU$70
A bit expensive, food was nice though. Hard to understand the waiter, because my french and her english were terrible
Even though ZanziBar is further away from the beach, the value for money is lower than what you'd expect, with a limited menu and limited cooking talent in the kitchen. Service was OK to good. The appetizer (some toasts with crab salad) was good, the entree (shrimps) was a bit dissapointing for the money, the boeuf was OK-ish but the Calamares were overcooked and just like all the rest in my plate (lentil risotto and vegetables) way too dry. Add 2 glasses of wine and a crême brulee, which was more like an insult to the French cuisine (average pudding with sugar on top that just melted a bit but not nearly close to the ONE benchmark this dessert has and which Amelie Poulin so gracefully explained), and you walk out with a 11k francs bill and an overall feeling of dissapointment.
