So we show up and we are literally the only people in the restaurant.... no kidding.... now our friends are early eaters, but we were there until after 7:30 and not one other couple actually sat down to eat. So it is Called a Chophouse... so you think that... hey this will be a place for Steaks.... well they have some... and they include steak in different dishes, but I would not call this place a chop house. The menu is all over the place and then they also try to have some sort of sports bar vibe and food, but not many TVs and nobody there rooting for any sport.... so kinda bizarre. So we had the food.... which turned out to be pretty decent. brussel sprouts, wife and friend had and they liked them... asked for bread and the waiter was reluctant, but brought some... Meals came out.... 3 people had the filet and they liked it.... I had salmon and it was ok.... kinda small portion.... but it was farm raised and overpriced. So then we thought... let's have some dessert..... guess what they dont' have??? coffee.... really? WTH????? so we decide skip the dessert and just go somewhere else. The bill comes and here is where it goes off the rails. There is a charge at the bottom of 3.5% for credit card fees.... what? I ask the waiter what this is.... he proceeds to tell me that is the deal... the way it is there. I tell him this is nonsense... why not charge me a fee to get the dishes cleaned???? He tells me he will get the owner/manager... I tell him that not to bother and he agrees that the guy will just argue with me. So what does he do.... goes over and tells the manager I am up upset about the CC fees. and the manager comes over to just tell me how wrong I am and proceeds to argue with me telling me that ALL restaurants are now charging this.... of course he is wrong. All I can tell you.... skip this place... overpriced and decent food, but not worth the hassle.... on the upside... you will get great service since you will be the only people there.... and the manager or owner, whomever he was, clearly doesn't understand or care to keep customers returning....
This place is not good. The service is less than average and the food is just ok. They are trying to serve expensive steakhouse food with a sports bar, juke box type music and plastic cups. Just not the vibe at all. Way overpriced too. Would not recommend.
Odd to find a $199 steak with paper napkins. The place was empty at 7pm on a Friday night. The lights were too bright in the dining room with no music playing. The wine glasses were the thick glass you find at Applebee's. I do not like a 15/glass of wine in a cheap glass so I ordered a dirty Martini, surly that would be good. It was served in a champagne glass with no olives. Old Fashioned was great! The steak tip appetizer was just OK. Pork was OK but the mashed potatoes were cold, like cold cold. Scalloped potatoes were also served cold in a piping hot dish. The manager did have it put in the microwave. Overall was disappointed with this place. With a few touches it could be great.Owners: At your price point, you need classier menus, proper glassware, cloth napkins, good lighting, nicer curtains, and food served hot. I'll be surprised if this establishment makes it, which is unfortunate because just a few changes would do so much!
We had the filet on toast points, skillet lasagna, and osso bucco sandwich. Everything was delicious. The passion fruit martini was my favorite and only $4!! An affordable fine dining experience.
Cute spot. Portions are small for price. Food took over an hour to come out and pork chop was raw in center/ inedible. Sad. Menu looks promising but terrible kitchen management. Who has time for a 4 hr dinner? If you serve food rare you should let your guests know. And if dinner take hours you should also let people know.
