A brilliant chip shop with top rated fish and chips, halloumi, and a vegan fish substitute. The jalapeño tartare sauce, made by the shop, is particularly excellent. Prices are within the usual range, making the food here incomparable value due to its quality. Don't hesitate to visit soon. Really good vegan/veg options. Tofish, jackfruit burger, pea fritter and halloumi sticks all great. Chips can sometimes be a bit soggy but usually good. I don't usually use fish and chip shops but having stopped previously at Simpsons in Cheltenham I was pleasantly surprised at the quality there. However the Stroud shop was not as good although that might be explained by arriving late afternoon when footfall was slow. The fish was freshly cooked but the chips reheated and less palatable.
