Palmengarten - Nürnberg

If you are local or visiting: you get local cuisine, fränkische Küche at great price. Space permitting the court yard is beautiful. I had rouladen: perfect! Waiter was nice and funny. Company only made things better. Beer was from a small brewery, better than mass production

I was in Nürnberg this December and stayed at the Derag Hotelx`x, just around the corner of the restaurant. The Palmengarten is within walking distance. This is one of the local places, you need to hear about it from someone local, and then go and explore. You will really enjoy it there. The daily menu is definitely small, but has excellent food. I had a great time there, meeting locals, enjoying the beer selection, and the eating local Franconian food. The prices are very affordable! I was very pleasantly surprised! Try this place out. It is worth the walk and every minute of it.

Except for the owner a nice store. Good cook, nice operation...if the old one with the Krückstock is the owner...he would rather retire! Unfriendly and incapable. Perfect beer garden.

A wonderful Franconian host house, good beer, tidy portions, all so between 8 and 15€, a super beer garden in the courtyard.
