Route 4 - Nueva Delhi

The food was great. Grilled fish definitely had a bit of western flavour. Kali mirch chicken tikka was a very unique dish which we tried and it tasted good too. However, nothing was worth saying that it was too good, everything was just good . Ambience was nice.

Recommended by my taxi driver, ventured in, hungry after a long day of sightseeing. Friendly welcoming staff showed me to my table, and gave me a menu which was in English. Was a bit quiet for the time of the day, so plenty of room. Ordered a Murg Malai Tikka Wala, 6 pieces of boneless chicken with cream and spices..........and also ordered a Ghosht Bhuna, boneless lamb cooked in a curry (basically). with some Nan Bread. Also the usual beers to accustom hot food! Food came quick enough, and boy was it good. I don't mind saying that the dishes were fantastic, very tasty and hit the spot perfectly. Mix of sauces and creams worked well with both dishes..... The curry dish was very filling, and I wasn't able to completely finish it....although I did try! For the nan bread, i over ordered, not knowing that in India Nan bread sizes are massive, unlike the small pieces we get back in Ireland! The waiter did mention he was wondering why i ordered so much, ha! The waiter that was serving our table was very friendly, middle ages gent, pity I didn't catch his name but very friendly, and helped me with my order...... Ordered some ice cream for dessert, as I know Indian ice cream can be pretty good, but alas this wasn't the case here.....pretty bland and no flavour. But I will let that pass as the main dishes were excellent. Overall, loved this restaurant, and if I am ever back in ND, I will definitely drop in....... Strongly recommended.........good friendly service and fantastic dishes...

Location is an issue. Parking space is very less. Ambience is alright. Seems more like a shady joint with lot of space and lighting. Food is excellent. Rating it 4 star for the food.

It’s a famous place, I’ve been going here for years. Of course the food is great, but I have to say that their quality has deteriorated over the years, stillGood but now I guess the wow factor is missing. I don’t live near the Safdarjung market but if I did I feel like they would be a guilty pleasure of mine. If you haven’t tried them before or heard about them, do order their Galauti kebabs.
