Plumpjack Cafe - null

This is a remarkable restaurant. The service was friendly and attentive, the food was delicious, innovative and well portioned, and the bartender made excellent cocktails. The wine list was exhaustive and very fun to read on its own. Our server was very helpful in finding an interesting and affordable wine, and the dessert was ridiculously good (try their Cherry Chocolate Bomb). Nice ambiance too.

The receptionist 's handling was terrible. When we arrived 10 minutes before my reservation, there was no one at the reception desk, so I asked a nearby staff member for help and was told to wait for 10 minutes. We waited but was not approached, and later-arriving guests were seated before us. When I approached the receptionist who eventually guided them, she said, You didn 't tell me, so there 's nothing I could do about it, without any apology. What should I have done in this situation? Server was courteous. Although the wait was long. The food was just plain good.

Wonderful meal, excellent service, fun wine list and our server made an excellent wine suggestion. The chocolate cherry bomb was amazing too.

Clearly the best restaurant in Olympic village Lake Tahoe.
