Ruby's Coffeehouse Eatery - Oak Island

After reading all the good reviews, we decided try Ruby's. We love our bagels so we decided to set aside one morning on our visit to Oak Island to come to Ruby's. If I could given a zero for customer service. I asked what kind of bagels were offered. I was told to look at menu several times.. Just a simple answer was plain, or what varieties were offered. Since we were given two butters each..it wasn't enough for us. I went to the counter to ask for two more butter each.. the person behind the counter said very sarcastic two more butters each.. she than told me she had no more butter left.. gave us one more each..didn't believe that at all.. so we proceeded to eat the rest of our bagel pretty dry. We noticed that the locals were treated nicer. We could tell they were locals by the conversations that were being had with front of the house person. Won't be back... Customer Service is key.. whether you are a local or visiting the island. Bad experience..

My first visit to Oak Island and wondering where I would find my morning cappuccino? Then I found Ruby's. Excellent cappuccino and love the other items on the menu. Plus I could sit on the pier overlooking the beach and ocean. Doesn't get any better.

Quaint and cute coffee shop right at the base of the pier. It's the kind of thing you wish was at the base of every pier. Not open Tuesdays, but otherwise it's a great early morning spot or in the winter great to get a bevy and walk the

Great little place with a very limited food menu on the Oak Island pier. I had the bagel club sandwich and it was quite tasty. My companion enjoyed her bagel BLT. Parking is a hassle (the new OKI parking restrictions) but Ruby 's will give you a voucher to cover one hour of parking on OKI. I did not try a coffee, but their latte menu was very comprehensive. Maybe next time!

My wife and I went to Ruby’s every morning for a week during our beach vacation. The staff was absolutely fantastic! I honestly can not say enough about the service we received. We looked forward to our morning coffee and bagel everyday. They have so many different iced latte flavors. Personally I loved the snickers and my wife really loved the Sweet Island. 10/10 recommend.
