Citrine Café - Oak Park

This is a charming place for brunch with a delightful ambiance. I had the crispy octopus, which was absolutely delicious. However, I recommend ordering it as an appetizer instead of a main dish, since the portion was smaller than I anticipated. A few additional potatoes or vegetables on the plate would have been a great addition. I walked away from the restaurant feeling a bit hungry, but overall, I would definitely return to sample more items from the menu.

I had a wonderful brunch experience, thanks to our attentive waiter. The beignets and cinnamon roll were delightful appetizers. I opted for the classic breakfast, and everything was delicious—except for my toast, which was very hard. That's the only reason I rated it 4 out of 5 stars. Overall, it was a vibrant and enjoyable experience!

My server was attentive and knowledgeable, which made my experience really enjoyable. The dish I ordered was tasty, though a bit richer than I prefer. I would also recommend lowering the music volume, as it made it hard for diners to have a conversation without raising their voices.

I have to confess, I've never tried crack, but I can only imagine it must be as incredible as the red sauce for the mussels here. The service was outstanding, and the food was fantastic—there’s absolutely nothing to criticize!

The food and drinks were truly exceptional. I was in the mood for cocktails, and if you can convince Matthew to make you a Green Line, don't miss out—it's a delightful experience! Overall, both the food and service were excellent, but that Green Line cocktail really stood out for its uniqueness and delicious flavor.
