Belle Roux Cafe - Oakdale

I think the name change. Slow service but good food, especially breakfast.

Everything we have tried has been delicious! From the burgers, chicken tender basket, onion rings, salads and seafood.

Can we just talk about Belle Roux for a second? Because oh my god it needs so much appreciation. We found this little small town cafe when we evacuated Texas during hurricane Harvey. We were staying with other evacuees until my son was able to bring us our wallets we left at our house. We were staying at a church in oakdale Louisiana and the owner of Belle Roux (Sheryl Faulks) personally cooked and served us a full course meal. We had to check out her restaurant after our finances came in order. It's almost impossible to find, due to it being hidden between a furniture store and a automechanic shop, but the search is well worth the find. The quality of the food is something you'd find in your own home and she's just the sweetest person. We are there every night of our week stay in the Best Western. After we left we found out they had breakfast, I'm legitimately upset we didn't find out sooner.

Not as good as all the hype around town.
