Golden Lotus Vegetarian - Oakland

We tried a selection of dishes and shared them. Our favorites included the Yum Yum Vermicelli, Wonton Vegetable Noodle Soup, Curry Vermicelli Soup, Sesame Eggplant Tofu, Brown Rice, Golden Rolls, and Thai Ice Tea. We loved everything we tried!

Everything was delicious as usual: Wonton Soup, Sesame Eggplant Tofu, Brown Rice, Stir Fried Veggie Chow Mein, Mushu Mushu Wraps, Spring Rolls, Golden Rolls and Iced Coffee. Im not Vegan or Vegetarian, but due to Sea Food/Fish allergies and being Lactose Intolerant, this food really is the best!

The spring rolls at this restaurant are disappointing. For $9, you only receive four small rolls, which are smaller than what is depicted in photos or offered at other restaurants. Some places offer six larger rolls for only $8, so this pricing seems excessive. The curry noodle soup is decent, but the chicken pieces tend to become mushy.

Golden Lotus is always a solid choice. Their Pho has been the best for years. Their Caramelized Chicken is a close second.

I am disappointed that the spring roll recipe has changed, but the teriyaki chicken and mushu-mushu wraps were delicious as usual!
