Elephant Sushi - Oakland

I ordered from this restaurant on Doordash and found the food to be disappointing. Each rainbow roll I received had soy sauce at the bottom, which made me question if I was served leftovers from someone else.

This restaurant is amazing. We started with a large water, received prompt service, and tried two delicious rolls that I will definitely return for. The additional bite from the chef was also incredible.

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem. The food is outstanding. I tried a few different dishes from the menu and everything was delicious.

After reading all the reviews I expected the food to be really good. Unfortunately it was not. I feel like everyone who left a review has no idea what good sushi is supposed to be like haha. The menu had great descriptions of the food, sounded really delicious, but then the food arrived and we were disappointed ? Customer service was good and atmosphere was really nice. But the food was just ok and for what we got, I feel it was overpriced.

A great fine in place, the cucumber salad is spicy as a warning and the veggie roll was delicious. There was a small error on my order but they were very apologetic even though they were busy and gave me a complimentary sake to make up for the issue :
