Flora - Oakland

Great food service was excellent celebrating our high time jubilee and they made us feel special through the evening. our table was near the bar and was sometimes a little loud, but it did not take away from our all we enjoyed over the restaurant.

I'm very sad to see flora. it was an institution of the best art. much luck, tom!

My first culinary experience here was everything I'm looking for in a restaurant: ambiente, great service, great eating and easy to reach. I love art deco style restaurants so terribly sad to see this jewel going. I wish I were here earlier. somehow it just fell off my radar. I love a good burger and that was one of the best. we started with the aaron cheeni and the cheese plate. both a little small for four, but definitive enough. the other three ordered the black and of course I ordered the burger. we ordered the last bottle textbook cabernet and it was fantastic. our waitress was charming, personal, beautiful and also a great server! so glad we finally came in here, but wish that the restaurant had more time.

So heartbroken that this Oakland cornerstone is closing.

The food here is consistently very good and interesting. The service is efficient and friendly. Like many fans, I'm very disappointed that they will be closing on November 10 but am hopeful that the new owner will carry forward the style, quality and uniqueness of this gem.
