Louisiana Fish Chips - Oakland

OMG! The fish and fries arrived piping hot, so I had to let them cool down before eating. They were delicious and well-seasoned. However, the tartar sauce was too sweet and diluted for my taste, so I didn't use it. Overall, I'd give it 4 stars!

The fish I had was the worst I've ever eaten, and I ended up throwing it away. Tartar sauce should not be sweet, and this version was terrible. If I could give a negative rating, I definitely would. It was absolutely disgusting.

The dish looked nothing like the photo. Honestly, I received more condiments, bread, and fries than actual fish. The portions were small and thin, with more batter than fish. I'm not impressed. I can find larger portions for much less elsewhere.

A few couple of my oysters were slightly spoiled. Snapper was cool, sole was a little overcooked. Fries were hot.

The catfish was cooked to perfection and the fries were still crispy when I got them home. The hot sauce was perfect for the fish. My only complaint is that the tartar sauce was too sweet and thin. Overall, great food and great service, Ill be back!
