Segovia Tavern - Oakland

MY JAM This place reminds me of Segovia every time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The service is not what you would expect. It takes longer than it should b4 a waiter comes to the table. Then you have to flag someone down for drink refills or whatever you need. No one checks back with you. Again, it's a job trying to get the check. Waiters appear to be overworked, as there was staff literally running through the dining room. We're used to the attentive European style service in the Moonachie location where the wait staff is aware of what diners need as soon as you need anything. The food was good, but being treated well is a large part of the dining experience. That was lacking, and the running waiters were a definite minus, as far as a dining experience is concerned.

Great service. And amazing value for the money. Also plenty of parking and 2 floor great for a banquet

Service and staff very good. Been here before and to other restaurants with similar menu . Ordered seafood in green sauce. Only got 4 sprimps a few scallops and some squid. For 28.00 not a good deal. usually it has a piece of fish, small lobster tail and more shrimp. I know prices are going up. But not a good deal. Better places like the spanish tavern . Very disappointed since the last time I was there. Two people for lunch . 2 entrees and two deserts $92.00 plus tip. Not I place I think .I would go back.

My boss and I went here for lunch. When we arrived we parked in the private lot. We walked in and was sat by one of the servers. Steve was our server. I started with the uptown but it wasn't sweet so I stuck with water. For my meal I got the stuffed salmon lunch special. My boss got a chicken dish. The food took a while to come out. When it finally did both meals looked great. I dug in and added a little salt and pepper to my salmon. It was more tasty when I did. There was plenty for me to eat and take home. My boss enjoyed his chicken dish. The bill was very reasonable. All in all I had a good experience.
