Feedback gevenAffordable takeout food that's quick and convenient. While it's not the best-tasting dim sum I've ever had, it still satisfies. The woman working there is incredibly friendly and provides excellent customer service, which is a pleasant surprise for a place in Chinatown. She definitely earns the restaurant an extra star!
Stopped by for a lunch snack, tried pot stickers, egg custard tarts, leeks and pork dumplings, noodles and a variety of assorted dishes including eggplant, and other samples I can’t remember their name. Photos are attached. Flavors were good, service and dinning-in experience were basic and OK. This must be the 3rd or 4th visit here. Definitely coming back.
I came near to closing and all the steam trays had been turned off. Probably everything was still o.k to eat but it gave me pause. There are a couple small tables to eat at including soy sauce, not that you'd need it because while the food isn't the greatest tasting lack of salt is not one of the problems. Large selection and inexpensive.
Bought two items to go: Lotus leaf glutinous rice which was so so, and a plate of Chow Fun which turned out to be putrid; smelled of decaying food; inedible. Chucked it, won’t be going back. It was about 4:30 pm on a Sunday. Curiously, the lady serving had portions of each item loaded in to go boxes. Thought it was for efficiency, but not so sure now. More likely getting rid of stale food.
They have the best roasted boars I've ever had in my life! I don't even want to eat them somewhere else! I drove past a few weeks ago when many oakland had climbed. I was so cheated to be in town and not to get any booze. I'm back in autumn, if you're lucky to be in the east bay, you have to taste your food!
