Tgi Oni Sushi - Oakland

I cannot express how fresh and generous the sushi portions are at this restaurant. I used chopsticks and a tea cup for size comparison. The fish is incredibly fresh and the sushi rice is cooked perfectly. The staff is attentive and friendly. I will definitely be returning again.

Great spot for lunch. Quiet. Delicious choices. Nice view and environment. Gave us great recommendations for sushi rolls. Parking is a but hard and expensive... but that's montclair.

The best sushi place in Oakland, the lunch bento box was delicious and the price and portion is the best. I have never had better miso soup and california roll. Super cute inside too! I would go here for lunch during work and even a date night since the inside is so cute and the customer service was great! Would recommend

Overall such an incredible restaurant. From take out to dine in, consistent quality and very nice portion sizes . 5 stars!

Finally, a good neighborhood sashimi spot in the East Bay! Sure we have Kakui and Kotobuki but one's overpriced and the other is average at best. Iyasare's my go-to chirashi don and tempura, but now this is my go-to for sashimi. We had dinner on a busy Saturday night the newly re-opened TGI Oni Sushi, and loved it so much I came back for lunch on Tuesday (photos from lunch). Fresh sashimi, good sized menu, reasonably priced, friendly staff. We had hamachi sashimi (5 pcs for $15), chawamushi, shishamo, saba shioyaki and complimentary miso soup. Hopefully they'll keep up these standards!
