Go for a carvery to be offered turkey cassoarole obviously made from left overs. Due to selling out of meat.. Surely they must cook more than 1joint of each.. As for custard.. Let's say it wasn't brilliant....

Called today with my parents for lunch paid for 3carverys to be told when being served only gammon available they had run out of the other meats.. It's a carvery why would you not cook more.. We were offered the turkey cassoarole that was in with the veg selection but was obviously made from left overs and tasted funny.. Too many herbs maybe. We then had the dessert I had apple crumble the apple and the crumble were both under cooked and as for the cheap custard was not very tasty..I think this will be the last time we visit.. Shame as we used to come often on a Tuesday and can't even do that now..

Myself and my family ate here last night 24/9/18 2 pieces of plastic was found inside my fiancés cheese pie (which was mash). It took the staff 10/15 mins to come back and apologies and offer us a free desert or drink. Not good enough, poor service all round and unfortunately lady behind the counter wasn't bothered at all that my fiancé nearly cut her mouth. Came back after 10/15 mins with a lame excuse that mash had been frozen then defrosted to warm up which again I'm sorry isn't restaurant quality. Wouldn't warm up mash at home. Felt insulted by this so walked out Wouldn't let my dog eat here. Was appalled by the whole experience and will not be entering this place again and I advise anyone who enjoys good food to avoid at all costs.

Carvery is tasty and cheap. Bar staff are friendly. Food serving staff are really unpleasant. Needs better bear and better garden (no play equipment)

Booked a table 4 days in advance for a Saturday evening... only to arrive to be told they didn't know who booked it but it shouldn't have been booked as they had a large party in! The guy who took my booking even took my mobile number so a courtesy call would have saved a lot of annoyance. I suggest you ring to confirm AGAIN before leaving home !!!
