Feedback gevenA family restaurant with home made good quality food.We learnt that it is changing its name to Zara's by the lake. It used to be a Montfort franchise.Food cooked just for you the way you like it. A large menu, lots of variety. I loved the kofta. They are willing to cater for gluten allergies. Their lentil soup is gluten free unfortunately they did not have it when I went. Make sure the waiter knows your degree of intolerance I am not sure how aware they are of cross contamination.Simple décor, a classic neighbourhood restaurant with excellent service. Friendly staff and dedicated owner. Excellent customer service. What I did not love? Parking at the back is a bit tight. My clothes kept the smell of food for the rest of the evening.I will go back soon to taste their lentil soup.
Four of us ate at Zara's last weekend. We were a bit surprized when we first showed up that the place wasn't very full, but it wasn't long before the place was filled and people were waiting. There was also a steady stream of people picking up take out orders. The waitress is great, personable, friendly and handles the whole place in her stride. Our food was good and plentiful. Thankfully the restaurant does not have loud music, making it possible to have a conversation. We will be back.
This restaurant is family run by very nice people. The food is always fresh and excellent. The owner is very friendly and they all work hard to provide a great dining experience.
Great little Mediterranean bistro in Bronte, food is fresh and always good. Service is friendly and attentive. They always have a good beer on tap. A favourite for lunch.
Zara is an extremely personable caring and attentive lady. All of her personality can be experienced at Zara's By The Lake. Chef Mel will never dissapoint your palat. His joy of cooking shows up on your plate. It is HARD not to return for more.
