We also spent the night in a exquisitely Victorian decorated room. The building and rooms were lovingly restored by owner Gary with bo expense spared. Absolutely worth the visit!
I loved my stay here at the Landmark Inn. Every room is different, and filled with antique furniture. Each morning's breakfast was delicious. I enjoyed walking the small town of Oberlin, where everyone was very friendly. I highly recommend the Landmark Inn! Side note: I stayed in the judge's chambers room and found that the street lights were shining through the blinds. This didn't bother me, but if you're the type who needs a very dark room to sleep, then choose a different room. Also, the building is big! You have to let the water run about 5 minutes to get hot water for your shower, but it IS there, LOL.
I stayed here some years ago while on a road trip. The lodgings and restaurant are gems to find in the small town of Oberlin. The food in the restaurant is wonderful; fresh and prepared with care and love. It was so good that, as a passionate foodie and cook myself, I had to purchase the book Classic Cuisine From The Inn: The Best of the Teller Room Restaurant: The Landmark Inn at the Historic Bank of Oberlin that was offered for sale. The book remains a treasured keepsake for my stay through its contents of photos, history, and delicious regional recipes. The service is welcoming and friendly. The lodgings were spotless and decorated with antiques from the 1880s period when the bank was built. I am glad the community of Oberlin is able to keep this substantial part of its history alive. I hope to visit again someday.
Menu is so fresh, the waitress reads it to you. I assume it changes daily. The turkey chef salad was awesome with large chunks of turkey. I didn't eat any but the locals were having scrumptious looking home made desserts! Definitely worth a stop. Just a skoosh off Hiway 36!
Charming B&B in the quiet little town of Oberlin. Staying here for a week while I am in town on business. The rooms are clean and neat, the owner is just the most accommodating guy. I have a food allergy (GF) and turns out so does he! Breakfast was superb every morning and lunch too. Don't leave here without trying the butter pecan sauce on a sundae- so delicious. Bed is comfy and everyone in this town is so friendly!!
