Feedback gevenStopped here for a quick bite while traveling from Zermatt to Luzern. It is about halfway between the two and a nice rest stop before traversing the Grimelspass. Good sandwiches and very reasonable specials. Service was quick and efficient.
We arrived late, but the staff went out of their way to assist us. They got sandwiches from the kitchen for us and did all they could!
It is a self-service restaurant, whose prices are at 5-star level. ok, eating was not bad, but so rip off. because every food was so expensive, we decided to each have a small salad from the buffet. because there are mainly heavy salads (kartoffel salad, gurken, etc.) and hardly light as green salate etc., the weight quickly is very high, so we paid 17.- or 23.- for the two small salads (3.70/100gr). in a good restaurant I pay 2.60 in the kantine 2.40 (without person discount). So we paid for two small salads (without bread) and two drinks from the PET bottle 50.- CHF.To remember that it is self-service and we had to clean up ourselves. Once and in no case again. And then the tourism industry complains about staying.
The structure is modern, but in a very old building, a combination not easy to get, where they were however successful. very large and high dining room, something not easy to find with food available also to servisol, very practical for those who are passing through. good quality with generous courses, online prices with restaurants in isolated places, but decent. panoramic terrace towards the glacier, beautiful panorama.
The terrace lies on the side of a massive historic hotel, which is almost glacial. The terrace is especially good because of his lining on the foot of the furka and grimpass. Plus, the coffee's good, and there's a lot of sorting on other booze and food. The manager was very kind. On the terrace, you can't get enough of the cars and motors pulling through here on the way to the fittings and sticking to the passage of the steam train to the furnace.
