The chicken was large, juicy, perfectly cooked and the breading was almost nonexistent. It was served with broccoli and cauliflower and garlic Texas Toast. The meal also included a house salad that had greens, copious sliced black olives, a tomato wedge, beet slices, and a large assortment of dressing to choose from! My only complaint would have been the toast had the consistency of non-toasted bread. Disappointing. However, the meal was excellent and I was very pleased with my selection and Home Port's preparation. The staff was very professional and helpful. One word of warning: as of this review, the cooks were new and their production was very slow. Be prepared to wait for a table, but the wait was definitely worth it.
I was super nervous going here after seeing the Yelp reveiws and it was somewhat close to closing time to boot. At first, the server didn't seem too excited to see us, but she was really friendly as our visit progressed. The food made up for it though. The seafood platter was just what I needed. So much food that I had tons of leftovers. All the seafood in the platter tasted fresh and cooked correctly. The potato was baked perfectly and the herb buttery stuff it came with was such a nice addition. I tasted the chowder and mushrooms too and both were good.
Yummy breakfast. Had the razor clams and they were awesome. Will go back ever time I come to Ocean Shores
The reviews of this place worried me a little, but there was good food and the staff were very nice. Food was well prepared and came out quick. Owner came by and thanked us for coming in.
Recently had dinner there with a friend. While the food was okay, as was the service, I had to ask for a receipt that itemized the bill. What I got was a guest check with no business information written on it to which the waitress stapled the debit card slip which contained no information other than a total no tax breakdown. I paid with a debit and they charged a surcharge of 3.95% which was not itemized anywhere. A percentage surcharge on a debit card is illegal. A sign on the window at the desk states that it is a customer assistance fee that is applied to all sales. None of this is legal. All merchants are required to give itemized receipts. Surcharges are legal only for credit card transactions NOT for cash or debit cards.
