Sushi House - Oceanside

I visited the restaurant around 6:30 and had a fantastic experience. The food and service were excellent, and there were a lot of people also picking up orders. I decided to go with the chicken teriyaki, and it was delicious.

I was in the area and in the mood for sushi, so I decided to try out this place that I found on Google. They had a lunch special, with 2 rolls for $11 or 3 rolls for $13.73. The restaurant was very dark with only one light on. I ordered a spicy tuna roll and an eel avocado roll. The spicy tuna roll was the worst I've ever had, but the eel avocado roll was pretty good. Still feeling a little hungry after the 2 rolls, I decided to order another eel avocado roll. When I got the check, I realized I was charged separately for the second eel avocado roll, at $7, because I couldn't get the 3 roll lunch special price. The staff didn't inform me of this beforehand. Additionally, I was charged extra for spicy mayo. The restaurant was empty and I was the only customer, which may explain some things. Despite the overall cost being the same with the tip, the experience was unpleasant. I didn't bother taking photos of the food as it wasn't worth it.

I would not recommend ordering from this restaurant if you are craving good sushi or shrimp teriyaki. Unfortunately, I had to throw away my food as I found it unsatisfactory. I ended up mainly eating just the vegetables and a small portion of white rice. The miso soup was decent, but given the high prices, I was not impressed overall. I will not be ordering from here again.
