The only reason I'm giving this place two stars is that the servers are incredibly nice; they deserve to be serving better food. Unfortunately, the French onion soup was the worst I've ever had, and the quesadilla was also one of the least impressive I've encountered—so lacking in flavor! For $30, I expected a much better experience. This will be my last visit, even though I work just down the street.

Unfortunately, the French onion soup was the worst I've ever had, and the quesadilla was equally disappointing—extremely bland! For $30, I expected much more. The food was overpriced, flavorless, and seemed quite lazy in preparation. This will be my last visit, even though I work just down the street.

While traveling between Port Hope and Ottawa, I grew tired of the usual highway rest stop food and decided to explore off the beaten path. I was not disappointed. This place has the nostalgic vibe of a greasy spoon diner, which I actually found quite appealing. Initially, I had a craving for a burger, but I ended up ordering the Smoked Meat Deluxe instead. The portion sizes were generous, and the food was delicious. The cook, who also served us, seemed genuinely happy and proud of the dishes being presented; it was refreshing to see someone take such pride in their work. Overall, it’s a charming spot that offers great value for your money.

I placed a takeout order based off of the online menu. Chicken burger was more like a chicken sandwich on a bun. It was not a breaded patty which is what I expected. Deep fried pickles were okay but I have had much better before.
