The views are stunning all year round. But what really makes the difference in this restaurant is the service and food quality: the manager, Maitre Joāo, is an old school perfectionist, who is able to make the kitchen deliver in constant quality and the floor at ease at a level that is rare. The menu is varied and varies according to seasons, but the fish filets dish is a classic for more that 12 years by now. My favourite is the curry shrimp in terms of both design and taste. Additionally, during the summer, the charismatic owner, Tiago, turns the sand beach in from of his restaurant into the most fantastic outdoor beach club, with international DJs day and night, such as DJ Zecha, DJ Sofia Baiāo and DJ Pedro Orvalho. Make sure to book a double mattress in advance as they do not allow access to clients without sunbeds during the day. This place is a true international level restaurant in the winter and a brilliantly buzzing night club in the summer. It has been my favourite for years and it troubles me that I am sharing this publically.
Despite being at Praia Caffe with more than 100 people, everything went really well from service to food, drinks and location. Overall it clearly surpassed expectations and it is a very good option at Costa do Estoril.
Forgetting the poor value for money and the average quality of the food. The experience was just horrible! The menu at the front says it has sandwiches as well as your standard a la carte menu. We sat down, took ages to bring us menus and after asking 3 waiters, we were told the chef won't allow sandwiches upstairs even though 2 of us wanted to order from the a la carte menu and the menu for it is on the front door about 5 steps from where we were sat. We decide to all have sandwiches and move down, after sitting down and looking at the menu (only Portuguese) we order the chicken sandwich only to be told there is no chicken sandwich... About an hour after sitting down we end up eating what we didn't want. Avoid at all costs... There is another restaurant above his one, just go there
