This restaurant lables itself as a pizzeria, but they also have other dishes. For instance fried herring with mashed potatoes, like all other restaurants in Öregrund, but also, fish and chips. The fish and chips, was made from locally freshly fished baltic cod, and it was excellent. Perfect crispy deep fried crust, and the cod perfectly cooked, and excellent new potatoes. The staff was able to give info about the dishes and help me choose, and the meal arrived promptly.
Great food and friendly service, we arrived late and they opened back up so we could order some food.
We were glad to find this place open and welcoming (and with more than pizza on the menu) in the pre-season--and enjoyed it so much we ate both evening meals we had in the village there. The daily special, with a glass of house wine or other beverage included, was an exceptional bargain, and portions very generous.
Oregrund will be a beautiful town in the sunshine, but just after midsummer this year the weather was so cold that it was pretty grim and unwelcoming. We took refuge in this restaurant as it at least had some shelter out of the wind. It had few pretensions and delivered few frills. The menu featured pizzas, kebabs and little else. Service was slow and not entirely helpful, but the food was tasty enough. The bill for 8 of us was relatively modest so as i say, you get what you pay for.
