I'd have a regular weekend. They make a solid breakfast and an ordinary lunch menu. I've rarely eaten here. They are almost always polite and efficient. It is a great place to relax over coffee and visit with a friend.
Katelyn was the best waitress, new here with a few years experience... that's obvious. I do not propose to order the green chilli soup (two stars); I had never emptied anything that was not jello. Replace with tomatoes basil soup. If I had started it, I would not have noticed that tomatoes were also emptied. I finished eating the bowl (three stars). I had the artichoke lemon chicken. The chicken was dry, mostly at the edges. I had to spit a big cartilage like a bit into my napkin. When the hot dish was first placed in front of me, I thought the sauce and cherry tomato were delicious. I would judge this court a three. Oh, my! The cherry seasonal cake: oreo-cookie crumbs, a white chocolate cream filling, filled with cherries (more gelatin sauce as fruit in cherry filling...but still evaluates a generous 4, whips cream and chocolate curls. (Remember me when I sharpen a pencil, rusts twisted and lures. Kaitlyn brought me a dessert into a to-go box because I would take a bite or two and bring the rest home. Especially after hearing how good a slice (but very sweet cherry, white chocolate, especially. The last course was not excessively rich or sweet; a surprise! Village Inn is open until 2:00 on weekends.
Not bad. Food is always good just wishing that they have a better variety for vegetarian meals. For a children's dinner cheese sandwich and a bowl of tomatoes basil soup. The sandwich wasn't worth what I paid for. Soup was really good wish the waitress had listened and the cup didn't give me a bowl. The waitress also seemed to avoid checking us unless she really had to.
Went for the All You Can Eat Fish Chips on a Friday Night with a party of 9. Despite only 3 other tables and no wait, Service was excruciatingly slow and server was not attentive. Our drinks went empty, condiments forgotten, fish not fully cooked through and plates went empty although the restaurant was fully staffed. Instead of helping our server run food, support staff stood around talking and Manager never visited the table. The 2 sandwiches ordered and country skillet breakfast were fine.
