We went to the Falls Market for dinner after a long day of rafting. The food was fantastic. Pulled pork sandwiches with carnival fries? Yes please! Very nice little place to sit outside and eat. You can park across the street and visit the falls after your meal.
We were looking for a quick lunch in between visits to Polymath Park and Falling Waters. The service was friendly and quick. The food was fresh and really good. Chicken Gyro was served on a warm, soft pita with a tasty tsaziki sauce. Chicken Thai wrap was fresh, juicy and a little spicy. The homemade three bean salad was fantastic, with a sweet vinaigrette.
We just stopped there for a quick ice cream before going on to Polymath Park. The ice cream was a bit soft and was melting quickly before we got to the car just outside. It was also a bit too sweet and at almost $9 for a scoop each somewhat pricey we believe. There is no place to eat inside as it’s only outside seating and not much of that. The ice cream would have melted even faster on a hot August day.
I was in Ohiopyle for the first time. After a morning hike, I wanted some lunch before heading out again. The first place I stopped had an endless line, so I went to the Falls Market, right on the corner as you enter Ohiopyle. The line moved quickly. Prices are high (amusement park-like , but the portions were large, the food was hot, and it was delicious. I got the beef fajita wrap and french fries for $14. Items are packed in a box, so it was easy to take it to go and eat it elsewhere (a shaded picnic table! . It would have been nice to bring a picnic with me to Ohiopyle, but if I came again on a quick, unplanned trip, I would not hesitate to eat here again.
