Etno Restoran Sveta Petka - Ohrid

One of the best meals I have ever eaten, go prepared with an empty stomach. Great service, great food, a must visit if you want to eat local, traditional food. They have a set menu for the day which is more than ai could have expected. It is a couple of km from the city centre but taxis are affordable and it is well worth the trip.

What a fantastic experience we had at Etno. The host was extremely friendly and spoke perfect English, self taught from watching films! He explained that they don't have a menu but rather have a set menu consisting of a tasting board of starters, such as komat, goats cheese, ajvar, garlic sauce, pasta. The main course was split into three parts....a stew made from chicken, pork and ham, beef with 6 cheeses wrapped in pastry and chicken, pork and ham with 5 cheeses wrapped in pastry. All were absolutely delicious. The kind of food rarely seen in other restaurants in Ohrid. Portion sizes were very generous, we had to take away part of the meal! Home made wine was also excellent and the host called us taxis to get back to town.

Amazing local food, everything is fresh and homemade, even the wine! if you come to Ohrid, you should eat here at least once. Super cozy and friendly atmosphere

One of the best food experiences i had in my life! Restaurant is run by super hospitable family. Don’t expect any fancy drinks, but what they offer is all home made and very delicious. Food is just out of this world.

We had a lovely dinner at Etno. The family who runs the place is very friendly and visibly takes pride in what they do. The food was excellent and there were options for our vegetarian friends as well. If you are in Ohrid, you must visit this restaurant!
