Pensiunea Izvoare - Oituz

We went to this place twice because we were at lunch and dinner and we wanted to see why it was so busy all the time. In short, service is fast, food is fine, but nothing special and some things like chicken livers are Blande. It is generally good, but do not expect a gourmet experience. It is just a place where people come to eat fast and cheap Romanian food. However, the pancakes are great and they use only get homemade raspberries, very tasty and not excessively sweet. For drinks avoid any kind of wine and go for beer or spirits that are also homemade and surprisingly good. Try visinata, afinata and palinca and you will not be disappointed. The toilets are in a bad and disgusting condition, better to avoid. The terrace is very nice as you can hear the constant flow of a small river right below. There are also two steps away from the healing sources.

We went past Slanic Moldavia, known for its curative waters, and really enjoyed a delicious three course meal at a very decent price. The environment is beautiful and the staff very warm.
