Blue Donkey Cafe - Oklahoma City

I am not a huge fan of food trucks usually because you have to yell over the generators to order, and then wait too long to get your order with no chair for a mediocre meal. Some of this holds true for Blue Donkey, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the chicken tacos and the side of Donkey Poo (avocado chunks, tomato and cucumber salad). The chicken taco had just the right amount of heat and really hit the spot while we we attending a block party and movie night in Surrey Hills! The side was healthy and refreshing. Now if we could solve the wait time and seating issues! Just joking, it's a food truck folks. Suggestion to owner- move the generator behind the truck, it is too loud. Blue Donkey is worth a try.

I was kinda disappointed with the food. I had the chicken tacos. There was lots of shredded chicken on them and it was great. There weren't very many toppings on it and the few that were on them were skimpy. It was basically just meat in a shell. The donkey poo was good but it was mostly cucumber and tomatoes. I'm not a big fan of cucumbers so that colored my view. I had to hunt for the avocado. There was some in it but very little. I guess I thought it was an avocado dip. The chips tasted good but they were pretty much just tiny bits of broken chips. My husband had the loaded nachos. He said they were amazing and he loved them. That's why I gave them 3 stars. His was awesome. Mine was ok

The Blue Donkey Food Truck is out at Oak Tree this evening. Great food and excellent service! The Beef Tacos, Chicken Tacos, Donkey Beans and Donkey Corn were all excellent this evening! Thanks for coming out to Oak Tree !

I had the loaded chicken Nachos this weekend at Sunrise Park. I do not do spicy, I repeat I do not do spicy. HOWEVER, the heat from the salsa mixed with some sort of sweet creamed corn on top was amazing. I literally have not ever had nachos this good. EVER!

Food was excellent and the service was quick and friendly. Eaten their food a couple of times now and has been consistently good. Wife loves their beef tacos with the donkey poo side. I really liked their loaded nachos with chicken. Very good!
