City Jerk Grill - Oklahoma City

Always on the look for a good Caribbean/Japanese food. the hours in the city jerk grill are a bit confusing, but the jerk chicken dish I had was fantastic. the bowl had smoked jowl with an above average kick. I have mine with tears and bangs (beans) the house sauce was great. back to try the meat cake.

I posted a review regarding the quality of my food and the owner reached out. Very apologetic and even offered to totally replace my meal. That's customer service you just don't see much anymore. Haven't gone back to try anything else but definitely willing to try again.

WHAAATTTT!?!?!?! CITY JERK!!! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?LISTEN. I eat. I eat a LOT. I eat ALL the FOODS of ALL the kinds and I have NEVER eaten food as beautifully flavored as the food I had this evening. I had the BBQ Jerk Chicken Bowl and the base was Red Beans and Rice with gravy AND I added 4 shrimp because....why not?!?! My husband had this beautiful BBQ sandwich that I of course took a few bites of and I swear by it that it was the BEST I'VE EVER HAD. HANDS. DOWN.JERK CITY GRILL, Thank you for your existence.Sincerely your newest junkie.

A-Mazing food! We got the yams, jerk chicken (mild is about as strong as medium Pace salsa), mac n cheese, jerk fries and pineapple ginger beer sodas. The chicken came with a couple of sauces, great flavor and spicy. There was a mild and hot sauce the chicken was served with.The jerk fries were hot AF (temp) and had a wicked good mild spice dry rub over the top.The yams were sugary, delicious and just amazeballs comfort food.The Mac n cheese was preeeetty frickin' good too.Indoor dining is available, but seating is more set up for a lunch type crowd with bench seats/table.Hours are kinda slim, so plan ahead.Overall, super-duper good food, COVID safe.Def coming back for more!!

I’ve only been to this place once because they’re open limited days and hours. It’s well worth it because they definitely take their time off to prepare the food and they prepare it well!We love getting the yams and the meat pies!We love the yams so much that we’ve even bought a whole tray for Thanksgiving !
