Dale's BBQ House - Oklahoma City

Amazing BBQ - great BBQ sauce! I have been to 8 or 9 BBQ places around town and this has been the best. Their meat, specifically the pulled pork, is great. However, their BBQ sauce is off the chart, especially their hot sauce!

Our first time at Dale's. I ordered the sandwich special (sliced brisket) that includes one side and a drink. My side of okra was crispy and the brisket was lean. A turn-off for me was the guy making the sandwich did not use food handler gloves. I ordered a half slab of ribs (6) which were large and meaty. Barbecue sauce is on the table which is mild. Medium or hot may be on a request basis. The wife ordered a chopped brisket sandwich which she declared "good". If we are in the area and craving barbecue we will likely return.

Great food. Ribs were as good as any I've ever had. Really moist and came off the bone clean with a good chew. Okra was all breaded and fried in house and it was great. We also had a sliced brisket sandwich that was great. Will definitely be back a lot. The new owner was making the rounds to make sure everyone was liking their food and taken care of.

Pass this one by: My son and I travel all over OK trying new BBQ locations. This one was on the bottom of my list just above Earls . The ribs were over cooked, the chopped beef was actually put in a food processor. So its more like baby food. They put so much sauce in it you could not taste the meat. The beans tasted like canned beans with a little bbq sauce in it.  The girl behind the counter was more interested in her cell phone than waiting on someone. The restrooms are dirty, floors are dirty and tables were dirty. I can over look some dirt if the food is exceptional, but this was about as bad as they come.

I love both the chopped brisket sandwiches and the okra!! I have grown okra and have a special recipe for spicy okra, but when I get lazy I love dale's okra. The sandwiches have NO fat or gristle in them. I must admit I make my fathers BBQ sauce and I am partial to it. But dale's sauce is not sweet, which is ok by me!
