Okay, so it's not a good meal. if I want to ride deep, this is where I really go well, I split this time between here and the LJS/A
After lunch! is it such a crime to get hot pommes with your meal? I don't understand that I don't have to say that I have hot meals. long john silver prices continue to rise. I paid $7 for a cold 2 piece fish combination.
I have all the time. they can never correct the commands here. the music is always up to loud playing gangsta music and the people who work, dancing in the kitchen. no one on the theke 'probly because it dances. the manager acts like her reliability when they have a complaint and they are right on the fat floor and eat it. it was better to put these people at strain.. del city oklahoma se 29th long john silver’s
Ok, so it is not fine dining. When I want deep fried something this is where I go well actually I split that time between here and the LJS/A&W mash-up on Douglas. These guys' nitch is deep frying various slow moving critters and serving them with sides like Cole Slaw, Corn on the Cob, Fries, and Mixed Vegetables. They also provide hush puppies not my thing but folks I eat with positively inhale them ... and those crunchy batter drippings too. Sometimes life is a mystery that way.I usually order the Chicken and Shrimp Platter (which is not found anywhere on their menu BTW). At most LJS you get a blank stare with that request and have to follow up with Fish Shrimp Platter substitute Chicken for Fish which more than occasionally causes the order taker to turn to the manager and inquire whether they can do that. Yes Virginia you can and there is no additional charge. The folks at this store take requests like mine in stride without skipping a beat. The chicken comes out tender and covered with a salty crispy fried batter. So does the shrimp. It is most likely the same batter. Both are wonderful slathered in Tartar sauce.LJS may or may not fry all their stuff in the same Fryolater, but, if they do, I cannot tell. I think they change the oil pretty often. They get the temperature right too. Things don't come out burned nor do they come out soggy from under-temperature oil.Their food also manages to come out with just the right amount of grease' to be satisfying. If you are expecting some super healthy exotic grains and a waist trimmer salad prepare yourself for disappointment. This is comfort food hot, crispy, tasty, and a little greasy. It is not supposed to be overly healthy. God intended it that way. Get with the program occasionally.Lately they have been exploring ways to accommodate those who are pretending to be eating healthier (we know what you really came here craving). They have a line of grilled entries and even some decent soups. I have tried some items and they are pretty good even if they are supposed to be healthier.BTW: this store had a face lift a few months ago. The signage and interior is better. I think they also degreased the lobby floors.
