Taco Mayo - Okmulgee

I've been coming here for years and I was thrilled when they built this new location since the old one had seen better days. For fast food Tex-Mex, they really stand out compared to the other place down the street. Their tortillas are made in-house, and I absolutely love their grilled burritos. The potato locos are a guilty pleasure when I want to indulge a bit. I really appreciate that they offer black beans, but I wish they would bring back the Zilantro calculus because it was delicious. It would also be great if they could set up a full salsa bar since I never seem to get enough of their amazing fresh salsa. I understand they've modified their hours due to the pandemic, so they aren't open as late as they used to be, which is reasonable. The space is usually clean, and the service is decent in terms of speed.

The staff was very polite, but the food seemed poorly put together. The taco was especially messy. I will continue to visit, but they definitely need to improve the quality of their food presentation.

Okmulgee Taco Mayo in Okmulgee, Oklahoma is nothing like it used to be. When we went inside, we had to wait a while before someone finally took our order. The entire place had a strong smell of old grease. When we received our tacos, they were stale. We even saw an employee picking up a garbage bag from the lobby and running through the kitchen where the food is prepared. The lobby has been closed for what feels like ages, which is why I decided to go in. Unfortunately, I don’t plan on coming back to this place again. To the owners, if you care at all, please take note of these issues.

Love the red chili sauce. I drove from Tulsa to Okmulgee. I recently moved to Okmulgee. I'm sad. I'm not a limo-drinker, but the two times I was here, my sodas have been omitted from my order. (against I'm not a limo drinker, so it's not something I know until I'm home, except that they got my ordering place and gave me extra red chili sauce stuff. And the fire sauce... OMGeee it is hot and it is soooo good!!!;

I've never had an issue with this place about 5 years ago. But recently I went through the drive thru. I ordered 2 combo meals and a couple of side items. The little girl repeated my order back to me exactly how i ordered it. But when I got to the window. I was given a quarter of order and when I asked for my drinks, she charged me for each drink. When I asked to speak to the manager, I was told she was in the restroom and was going to be a minute. Then the manager came to the window and was rude about having to correct everything and made it seem as if it was my fault that the order was taken and given wrong. When it was clearly repeated back to me exactly as I ordered it. Then after looking through everything again there was even more of my order missing. And again the manager was rude about having to correct the whole thing. Won't return again unless its under new management.
