First thing to note which took us time to find out, is that it’s not called Da Mario anymore it’s called Bidibo! We walked passed it several times as we were looking for the old name. Anyhow, once found we were welcomed my Mario and after some initial difficulty in language translation we began our order. For €12 each, you order a first course of a pasta dish, a main dish which is a choice of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes, a choice of a side, a coffee and a liquor to finish. Firstly, the pasta dish which you have a choice of many I chose seafood) is a substantial portion. I was in fact full from that. It was stunning and they did not skimp on the seafood in it. I then had salmon which again was a huge portion. Everything was well cooked and simply delicious an indication of quality ingredients and an excellent cook. It was also the service that was impeccable and so friendly. Mario goes over and above and made us feel very welcome. If we visit Olbia again, we will surely visit this restaurant again!
Bidibo makes you feel at home. Very friendly service from a family owned restaurant. The food was delicious and the service atmosphere was inviting. So good we will be back again on our short stay. Thanks to the very kind son who made our experience worthwhile!
Probably one of the best value restaurants in Olbia. Very good food service and setting. 2 courser 12€ which included coffee and lemoncello. Good varied menu the horse was not compulsary A good find will recommend
Following a previous trip advisor review we decided to visit. From the outside it looks like a old fashioned pub, it does have seating inside at the rear hidden behind the bar area and a few tables outside. The menu is a fixed price €12pp, first choose your pasta a sauce, (Some options were Spaghetti ravioli penne big tubes of pasta like macaroni sauces: deer Ragu carbonara spicy tomato tomato) then choose your meat or fish (Some options were, tuna, sword fish, sea bass, cold beef salad dressing pork loin in beer sauce pork escalopes in mushroom sauce leg of pork) along with sides (e.g grilled veg, croquettes) Followed by coffee or a liquor. You can also add dessert for an extra charge. As a couple including beers and a dessert to share the total was about €35. Great service from our host who I believe is the owners son. He speaks English so was a great help to us!! A nice experience away from the usual busy tourist places. We always had a good meal with plenty of food! Thank you for looking after us so well as we ate here 3 times!! Dinner is served from 8pm.
Last year I had dinner here at least 4 times during my vacations. We went there for drinks and we stayed over each time. Mario is such a funny and nice person, always up for a chat. The meals are cheap and nice, you can decide between different meals both with meat and fish. If you are lucky and you come before it is finished ask for the octopus salad, you will not regret it! Mario is also a very good player and often organises music sessions with is friends!
