The Yelp listing says it 's open until 5pm, but we couldn 't spot it on Sunday afternoon at 4:45, or Monday afternoon. Finally, on our way out of Old Orchard Beach on Tuesday morning we saw it! Of course it was closed, probably for the season like many other businesses in OOB after Columbus Day weekend. So my review is "Hard to find, just past the railroad tracks in OOB. Didn 't eat there, so this review should actually count as Not Applicable. '
The food is so delicious and staff were very friendly and accommodating. The service was quick and food was brought right to us. The seating setup is outdoors and very comfortable. Again, the food was exquisite, we will definitely be returning!
This is hands down the best quality food, the freshest seafood and best tasting food in downtown Old Orchard Beach. My husband and I have eaten at several restaurants here while on vacation and there are none with this quality of food. We literally came back to OOB this year just so we could eat here again because of the food and friendliness of the entire staff. The owners not only operate the business, but are chefs and do their own cooking and make everything fresh. They are super nice, and truly enjoy serving their customers and offering the finest food downtown! This is strictly an outdoor eatery, and they serve only fresh seafood, so when they run out, or when there’s bad weather, they have to close for the day. We have eaten here 5 times, and the quality has been extremely consistent. Each time we’ve had their fresh haddock sandwiches (which are not fried, but have a delicious crispy outer crumb crust , and have also had their frozen wine/fruity drinks (so good , shrimp cocktail, freshly made blueberry pie with vanilla gelato (I’m a pie snob, and typically don’t like anyone’s pies other than my own homemade ones, but this was absolutely delicious, I will def be going back for more!! We cannot say enough good things about this eatery, go check it out for yourself, you will not be disappointed!! Laurel John
Came on a Sunday morning, 10min before opening. We were third in line. I settled on the shrimp roll, lobster bisque, and blueberry pie. The roll was good but didn't blow me away. The bisque and blueberry pie (w vanilla ice cream) was probably some of the best I've ever had! Rolls come with coleslaw, chips, and pickles I liked that. Other places require you to order your sides separately. I'd come early to reduce the wait and get a good spot. It seems like a 2 3 person operation. The lady taking orders was also the one bringing food out to the table so food comes out a little slow.
We enjoyed it for what it is, and perhaps being at the end of our trip my pallet was saturated with ocean cuisine. The location is simple with outdoor seating, very friendly service, and fairly quick order delivery. The appetizer crab cakes was a huge portion. The wine slushies were a nice touch to cut the warm summer weather. We ordered lobster rolls and lobster bisque and the tuna dish. I feel the recipes overall lacked some flavor....but again! My standard may have been raised due to the array of lobster and crab I had had previously in my travel.
