Fat Sam's Cafe -b-que - OLD RVR-WNFRE

Had a disappointing visit to Fat Sam's tonight. Table booked for 4.15pm and we were seated promptly and served with drinks. After selecting from the menu my husband asked for the steak but was told they weren't doing steaks any longer. So we ordered 4 x Sunday roasts. 40 minutes later when I enquired about our order we were told that our order hadn't been put through but that we'd have it in 5 minutes. 15 minutes later we were still waiting, all the while takeaway orders were coming out of the kitchen to a steady stream of delivery drivers. Almost an hour after ordering, our meals arrived. Unfortunately most of the items on the plate were lukewarm or cold. We brought this to the attention of front of house staff who informed the kitchen but came back to tell us that the chef said he'd probed the meats and they were fine. Only two items on the plates were hot, the potatoes and the braised red cabbage. The barman came to tell us that the drinks we'd ordered would be free by way of apology, which was nice, but it wasn't the drinks that were the issue (the strawberry daiquiris were gorgeous. We left feeling disappointed as the meal could have been great but the kitchen didn't seem bothered. Members of the front of house told us that the chef had told them not to go in with any more complaints that evening.

I have never had a problem before with the several times I've been to fat sams but, I was really disappointed tonight! several items off the menu but only told after we had ordered, food came and was wrong and had to be sent back, when my mum asked for decaf told they didn't do decaf when the woman before said they did, she meant they had run out then 5 minutes later really sorry can't make you a coffee as the machine has been cleaned an hour and 45minutes before closing. And to top it off we asked them to bring out my brothers cake but they didn't check everyone was at the table and did the sparklers with out the youngest member of the family who had chosen it all! very very disappointed tonight!

Just wanted to pop on and say thank you for a lovely experience on our first visit. We live locally so we will be back. The food was really fresh and tasted fab too. The girl that served us was really pleasant and made the effort to compliment my 16 year old daughters eyelashes. (Much appreciated as she isn’t the most confident. Sorry I didn’t catch her name but she was lovely, polite, well mannered and friendly. The service was really great so I just wanted to feed that back. Nice atmosphere too with good music. Went here for a meal for my lads 18th. Brilliant service from the off. Our party consisted of 6 adults and 1 child. 6 burgers were ordered and all enjoyed very much, very nice patties and fresh salad. I had a chicken roast dinner which was delicious, large and very filling. Beautiful yorkshire pudding! We ordered 2 rounds of drinks (not all alcoholic), and a shock when we got our bill... we fed 6 adults and 1 child, plus drinks for less than £100 (20% off)! Great value for money, great service, great food, lovely premises, will definitely be back. Thank you.

We've just been for lunch, 2 adults and 2 children. Really enjoyed all of our food. I had the chicken and rice which was delicious. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back!
