Sal's Pizza Pasta - Old Saybrook

I'm a New Haven Italian American, so I think I know about pizza. I would go to Sal in a minute as a good alternative to standing on Wooster Street.

Best pizza around.. Whenever we want pizza, no question where we go. Delicious every time. A disadvantage, they seem to offer many different desserts that they usually do.. That upsets me. Other than that, no complaints!

It was delicious as usual. I never had anything from here that I didn't like. Good service.

Sal?s is the real deal. Perfect pasta and amazing savory sauce? Check. We visited a rainy day, and each dish came with a hug not literally, although everyone was very friendly). And the fresh baked bread was the best I had in a while. The Puttanesca was great, like the Auberginenparm and the Ziti. Portion sizes are immense. We had enough for two maybe three portions. Stop? Thank you.

The food was fresh and delicious. Service seemed a little slow, but overall had a good experience.
