Hoshitori - Old Tappan

I'm gone tonight. Diving is not an option because of Covid. You have about 4’ entrance area available and the rest is cut off with chairs (so look elsewhere if you want to dine in Aug 21). You will deliver to your car so it is excellent. I had the chicken Teriyaki. It had large pieces of onions, broccoli and mushrooms with it. All are covered with Teriyaki sauce. It was okay. Very sweet. Also the Huramaki (Japanese spring rolls) were ok. I enjoy my meal, but was not the “OMG that is so good” that a place that gets 5th star. Solid 4 stars though.

Delicious and inventive sushi. The most beautiful presentation for Chirashi in the area! The AVOCADO BOMB is also a must. We never come in or order without at least two avo bombs! Even Jay Jenny are the sweetest and always treat us as a family every time we dive. Dear Hoshitori!

I found a local jewel. By my friend's recommendation, I finally visited this restaurant and realized that I had tried this place much earlier. I had sushi-omakase and was surprised with the quality of sushi. I work in the city and am a regular one to the Japanese high-end restaurants, and what I had at Hoshitori was very comparable (or even better) to the popular expensive places in the city that led by famous chefs. If you want quality sushi, this is definitely one of the restaurants you want to keep in your favorite list.

Amazing sushi! Fresh and first-class quality. Best Grandmakase in NJ! I enjoy sushi at least once a week. Chef Yang overwhelmed my taste buds with the freshest and best ingredients. Good esteem. My only regret. I didn't make all the pictures... post some of the great sushis.
